The word “organic” appears here only inside the ingredient list, naming inputs certified organic by a USDA‑accredited certifying agent. ISM Essentials is not itself certified organic and makes no organic claim for the finished product.

What is not in either formulaNothing added

Fragrance	None of any kind. Unscented. Because none is added, no fragrance allergen listed in Annex III of EU Regulation 1223/2009 is intentionally present.
Dyes	No dyes or colorants.

Why we test the glass

Glass can carry lead and cadmium, so our bottles go to an independently accredited third‑party laboratory before we ever fill them. Here is exactly what came back.

ASTM C738 is a four percent acetic acid extraction. ASTM itself describes the method as severe, because it is built to pull metals out of glass far faster than anything a bottle meets in a kitchen. That is exactly why we chose it. The method reports data rather than a verdict, so we publish the numbers.

That is the answer for the containers. The answer for what goes inside them is the two lists above: six in the spray and five in the soap, every one of them named.

How we talk about it

Four things we do instead of adjectives

A claim is worth whatever sits next to it. So here is what we put next to ours.

We publish the number.Our glass came back at 0.145 ppb lead, with cadmium not detected above the laboratory's reporting floor. A number you can check beats a word you have to take on faith.

Refill it, don't replace it.Amber glass, made to be topped up and used again. You keep the bottle and the sprayer. You replace only what is inside them.
