The lab report

Why we test the glass

Glass can carry lead and cadmium, so our bottles go to an independently accredited third‑party laboratory before we ever fill them. Here is exactly what came back.

EMSL Analytical, Inc. · ISO/IEC 17025:2017ASTM C738, ICP‑MS · reported Jul 14, 2026, rev. Jul 30
AnalyteResultReading
Cadmium< 0.250 ppbBelow the laboratory's limit of quantitation. Not detected above the reporting floor.
Lead0.145 ppbBarely above the 0.100 ppb detection floor.

ASTM C738 is a four percent acetic acid extraction. ASTM itself describes the method as severe, because it is built to pull metals out of glass far faster than anything a bottle meets in a kitchen. That is exactly why we chose it. The method reports data rather than a verdict, so we publish the numbers.

That is the answer for the containers. The answer for what goes inside them is the two lists above: six in the spray and five in the soap, every one of them named.

How we talk about it

What we publish

We publish the number. Our glass came back at 0.145 ppb lead, with cadmium not detected above the laboratory's reporting floor.
Refill it.Amber glass, made to be topped up and used again. You keep the bottle and the sprayer. You replace only what is inside them.
Every ingredient, with its job.Six in the spray, five in the soap. No fragrance of any kind, no dyes, and rosemary extract as the only preservative in the bottle.
A certification you can look up without us.Leaping Bunny requires a supplier monitoring system and openness to independent audits. Our listing is public at leapingbunny.org.
